Ch1 E17: The Charity Ball Pt3

With the Charity Ball in full swing, the ceremonies begin ...along with Toasty's troubles.

Hey Friends! Sorry things have been a little radio silent this week. College just started and I’ve been adjusting to the schedule and work loads.

Page 3 of Timepiece was supposed to be updated last Friday, but I’ve fallen way behind. But don’t worry! I’ll have it worked out in a couple of weeks.

Until then I’m hoping to put out some more FanArt as well as some world building & character design drawings too!

Not to mention the usual random comics, drawings, and slice of life nonsense! Including this one:

This is a pencil drawing of a Stuffed Toasty that my friend Fear gave me! I’ve been doing a lot more pencil sketching because of my Drawing Class.

Reference:

My sibling has been bugging me to listen to the Magnus Archives since I got back from Canada. This week I finally broke down and started season 1.

To say the least, I’m really enjoying it. I’m not usually the biggest fan of horror, but the characters are fun and I’m really enjoying piecing the larger narrative together.

My favorite part of course is Jonathan Sim’s belligerent skepticism throughout the first season, so I thought I’d whip up a lil mini comic.

Regardless of what S1 Jonny Sims says, when the lives of his co-workers are in danger, It’s time to get serious.

Awe yeah. I love crosshatching.

It’s super time-consuming, takes lots of patience, but the final result is always spectacular. I’m definitely no pro, I mostly just use it for basic values, but there’s definitely a lot of appeal to a collection of lines that blend together to make value and texture.

Plus I get to draw spooky, mildly-edgy art with characters I have not yet explained or referenced. So yeah. Crosshatching is great!

Y’all ever just draw something and decide, “yeah I’m not going to color this.” Cuz I sure do. I mean, as my art has gotten more complicated, rendering and shading starts to take a long time.

Some days I don’t want to dig though my desktop folders to find that one photo-reference about color theory and try to figure out how to make a construction site look “~*~ Asthetic as Heck ~*~”

So you just call it a coloring page and thrust it into the arms of the nearest kid with a box of crayons.
