Did a little study on some Spotted / Striped Cat characters I saw on Pinterest. ☺️❤️

Note: I don’t own any of these characters, though some have been changed significantly from their original designs. Theses drawings are for study and practice only. 👍 (Plus I have no clue who actually owns any of the characters 😅)

Working with what you’re given.

Sometimes we don’t have a lot of control of the ideas and thoughts that pop into our heads. But we do have control over what we choose to do with them. 😊

There’s good in every idea, sometimes it just takes a little work to cut off the bad bits and turn it into something great. Free ideas are free ideas. 💡

Phew! It’s so good to have some free time again! I thought I’d give digital watercolors another try. Turns out looking up how you’re supposed to use the brushes makes it a lot easier to use them properly 😅

I’ve also started things going with the next Timepiece episode! I’m really excited for the next several episodes! 😊 I’ll keep you updated👍

One of my favorite things from this semester of college has been watching how befuddled my peers in Art Class have been at the fact that I’m a Computer Science Major. Mind you this class is “Basic Drawing for Non-Majors” so none of them are art majors either, but they can’t seem to get over the fact that I’m not going into an art field every time they see my work. 😅 I’m just a try hard, really. I like art and I like learning 😊 

But I’m not an art major 😉 

Computers and Science have my heart. I just happen to like using both of those to make pretty pictures, write stories, and build comics. … I just happen to be half decent at it. 😅 

(Also I tried some watercolor brushes in Krita! It turned out pretty good for coloring, but I think I was using them wrong. Digital painting is supposed to be easier than physical mediums right? This was WAY more difficult to get working than my physical water colors 😅 I’ll have to keep experimenting 🤔)

Day Trip to Roshar

Eyy! I finally got the new Drawing tablet my best friend got me for my birthday. Took it for a spin today and was thoroughly impressed. 😻 I can’t believe I settled for less!

This thing draws buttery-frickin’-smooth in the best way. Not the same as paper, but just as good. My lines have never looked better 😋

Bonus points if you get the reference 😉

It’s a really an interesting process to convert a traditional sketch into a digital illustration like this. I’ll definitely have to do more of these in the future!
