Upon returning home, Toasty stumbles upon some disturbing revelations.
Been messing around a bit with simple backgrounds. Most of my references have simple or blank backgrounds, but it’s hard for me just to leave it empty. 🥺🖌️ …but I also don’t necessarily want to actually set up a full scene 😅
So here’s my attempt at one of those pastel clouds background things. I really need to figure out a consistent method to draw clouds 😅 I’m always going in blind and hoping the final result is decent. ☁️
Man, I really wanna get some of these outfits 🥺 But I don’t think they sell them in my size 😅 So I’ll just have to make them as a future project 😤🧵🪡
Today I realized that I’ve been over complicating some of these For-Fun-and-Practice drawings. I don’t need to pour hours and hours into rendering when simple Lines and Colors Accomplish the effect I’m going for.
It also encourages me to use lines and shapes to indicate the form, rather than just modeling and shading.
What do you guys think? Any Lighting styles or techniques that y’all would like to see? 🤔
Also! I recently discovered that Krita lets me do Timelapses similar to what I used to be able to do with Ibis Paint! So I’ll be including some of those in future posts. If y’all wanna spy on my process 👀

Has the wonderful opportunity to do an art Trade with a friend in the Latter-day Saint Artist & “Anthropomorphic Animal Appreciation Club 😉”. She drew Toasty from Timepiece and I drew one of their Characters, Clementine. It was super fun! I haven’t done an Art Trade in a long time 😊 Always a fun break.
Been feeling a little down this week, so I tried to cheer myself up a bit with some silly art and some water colors 😊 I don’t get to paint too much, since it takes so much time, but I always love how watercolors turn out 😄✨ It can be a challenging medium sometimes, but I love learning to mix colors just from the basic set. 😋🎨
Dress Toasty looking his fabulous best. 😎✨ Really poured on the sparkles with this one, I don’t think he can get much more bedazzled than this 😅 We’re gonna be picking out bits of glitter out of his fur for weeks.
I’ve been trying to work on my confidence. 🤔 For the longest time I’ve always been afraid of what other people think of me or how I might be judged for my interests. 🙀 But I’ve realized—that’s backwards. Really, I’m proud of my interests and the kind of person I’m trying to be.
By doing what I love, I’ve been so very blessed to meet so many people that support me. Y’all are the best, and I can never truly express my love and gratitude towards you all 😊❤️

Just got back from a Long trip to Nauvoo Illinois. 😃✨ It was a very cool experience seeing all the old church history sites and learning about the testimonies and efforts of the Saints that lived there.
What was especially cool was checking out the new sites that the Church had recently acquired. 👀 Especially the Red brick store. Which was where the Relief Society—One of the Largest and Oldest Women’s organizations in the world—was established on March 17, 1842.
Pretty cool stuff 😎 ✨ Maybe a bit too cool, since ya boi Toasty got caught trying to sneak into the Relief Society meeting 😅
(Tried out something a little different with these illustrations using some of the pictures I took as backgrounds. I’ll probably try to do some more with the pictures in future works too. 👀)

(Anyways, trip time beginning today, so we’ll see what happens to our art output. Hoping to do some Timepiecing while I’m away, but we’ll see how much time I’ll actually have. 😅 Takes me a about 3 full days of dedicated effort to finish a 4 page episode, so I’ll probably be able to do it in 2 weeks or so of vacation 🤔)
Ok, last one in this series for reals this time 😅 I think this illustration strikes an interesting balance between the aspects of cool and cute. Walking a unique line between polar opposites. As odd as seeing a Male cat dude dressed in a vintage style military uniform with a skirt is 😂
Maybe the recruiters will stop calling and emailing me after seeing all these wack illustrations 😂😅
