After a long night, Toasty picks himself up for another *normal* day at school.
Y’all ever just draw something and decide, “yeah I’m not going to color this.” Cuz I sure do. I mean, as my art has gotten more complicated, rendering and shading starts to take a long time.
Some days I don’t want to dig though my desktop folders to find that one photo-reference about color theory and try to figure out how to make a construction site look “~*~ Asthetic as Heck ~*~”
So you just call it a coloring page and thrust it into the arms of the nearest kid with a box of crayons.
Coming up with dynamic poses in always a little difficult.
Luckily for artists there’s always mountains of references and tutorials you can benefit from. (Just don’t get lost in the pile and forget to draw anything in the first place 🤪) This drawing was referenced from a simple model btw.
It’s important to note that while referencing images is entirely acceptable and honestly encouraged, tracing artwork or copying characters directly is not. You’ll just end up artistically shooting yourself in the foot.
So do yourself a favor and draw what you see! gather some references! build your visual library! 😊 But don’t just draw over some else’s lines.
I love water colors! They’re honestly a great medium.
Growing up I never thought I’d be able to get smooth, flat colors with traditional mediums. Water Based markers, colored pencils, cheap water colors. I thought coloring was just doomed to have streaks, scribbles, and paper showing through.
Then I took a painting class, I bought alcohol markers, and I saw how others used these mediums to make amazingly detailed work. Now I love water colors. It’s so simple now. I never dreamed I’d like painting, but after learning basic techniques, mixing colors, water control, masking, I’m able to actually make decent art!
Goes to show that you shouldn’t judge a tool based on how you try to use it the first time. Though those cheep watercolor brushes with the five lil bits on the end aren’t doing anyone any favors…
In a Universe with Humans and Cat people, what would be different?
Maybe? Though I don’t think you’d see someone chasing them like normal cats. I think Timepiece Cats would probably just have a higher chance of ADHD and be more easily distracted. I could totally see a class of kindergartens totally losing focus on what’s on the board as their teacher is trying to point to things with their Laser pointer.
Catnip on the other hand would definitely have to be a controlled substance. With what it does to little cats, I wouldn’t want to find out what happened to big, people sized ones. Though humans would be still be able to purchase it in small amounts for pets. You’d basically just be ID’d then they’d give you a small amount.
The world of Timepiece is unique. It’s set in a universe that, due to time–space meddling, is inhibited by humans and anthropomorphic cat people. Though things may seem strange for us, this has been the status quo for these people since their timeline began. 🐱👨
Some have accepted their differences and choose to live as fellow travelers with their Cat neighbors. Others have grown wary of their “otherness,” though racial tensions between humans have shifted some as a result.

Mayburn is a simple place, quiet & peaceful. A city where Cats and Humans have learned to exist in harmony and cooperation. However, young Toasty McToast discovers that there’s more to his home than he originally assumed. Now with the help of his new friend Lilly, they must uncover the secrets surrounding the foundation of their world, and prevent the impending collapse of time and space itself.
Sometimes it’s just fun to draw a few random characters. Though I usually draw anthropomorphic characters, a pack of fresh sharpies is a good excuse to draw some colorful cartoon animals.
Missionary Comics Concepts 🤵🤵

Here’s some of the early concept designs I made for my Missionary Comics mini Webcomic. Elders and Sister Missionaries! (Not based on anyone in particular btw)
I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do for the comic at this point, so I drew up a few characters, some of which made it into the final product.
I’m planning on using some of the characters in the future, but I’m not sure what that’ll end up looking like.

I can’t tell you how unbelievably excited I am right now! I can’t believe that this is actually real. This has been so long coming that it’s crazy that this is really happening.
After 27 hours of work over the past 5 days, it’s finally done! 😅
I just finished the first episode of Timepiece to be published on WebToon and Tapas! Yay!
Now the episode is going to be published in Dec 16th. What am I going to do in the mean time? …well draw the next one of course!
I plan on updating Timepiece every 2 weeks (school and work permitting) In the next while I’ll be working up a solid buffer of updates, so I can keep the frequency of uploads as consistent as possible for you!

Easy-cat caricatures of some Timepiece characters and some randoms. I made this style so I could quickly draw characters and test outfits and colors.
In the future I’ll probably make this into a quick commission format for characters, stickers, buttons etc. Let me know if you would be interested in something like that in the future!
