Here are the study sketches I made over the past couple weeks from the references I generated. This was a really fun exercise, and I’m really happy with how they turned out 😊 I definitely won’t be changing my style itself any time soon, but this was great practice for future projects and pieces.
This has been a productive week. I’ve taken the 400 something AI images I’ve generated and have been breaking down the style and adapting the techniques and correcting the Machine-Mistakes. This has honestly been a great exercise. AI images are not a substitute for real art, it doesn’t actually know what it’s drawing or how to draw it. Instead of using AI art as a crutch, let’s use it as a tool to strengthen and inform our own learning.
Don’t let the machine think for you. 🤯
Anyways! I’ll be doing some digital studies next to see if I can pull some rendering and color tips from the mass of absorbed AI learning. Steal back the stolen art and absorb the AI’s ill-gotten power. 😤

First digital illustration of 2024. (Outside of comics of course) I’m excited to see the progress I make this year. I’m optimistic that, with some adjustments, I’ll be able to update Timepiece more often during this semester. Plus I hope to post more art content as well.😊

Phew! Glad this episode is finally done. (And just in time for College to collapse back on top of me😅) I’m optimistic that I’ll be able to put in at least some time towards Timepiece episodes during the semester, but still expect a couple of months 😓.

Background colors are now done for Timepiece Episode 8. All that’s left is Rendering and Lettering. I’m hopeful that I’ll be able to get the episode finished before next week. 😊
